Wow! Packed house today as Governor Greg Abbott visited to get out the vote and support our campaign. I appreciate his efforts in Texas, at the border and, of course, for his endorsement. God Bless Texas!
Yesterday was a remarkable day filled with heartfelt presentations and updates at the Keller and Grapevine city council meetings. It was an honor to present a resolution to Mark Hafner, a friend and outstanding public servant, as he retires from his role as Keller's city manager. Mark's tenure not only included the role of city manger but also Keller Chief of Police, marking over four decades of public service that left an indelible mark on the community. Later, at the Grapevine council meeting, I presented a resolution to Natalie Poveda, a distinguished Grapevine resident and Miss Texas, celebrating her achievements and contributions. In addition to these presentations, I provided legislative updates on crucial matters, such as border security, property tax cuts, retiree teacher COLA, and the principle of local control, to council members and attendees. These moments underscore the power of dedication and community service, and I'm proud to recognize such exceptional contributions to our state.
