Mixed emotions today as we laid Albert Utley Kane to rest on Pearl Harbor Day. Kane, a Fort Worth Native, enlisted in the Navy on October 28th, 1940, and was serving on the USS Oklahoma as a Fireman 1st Class at the time of the battleship’s sinking.
In 2015, the POW/MIA Accounting Agency began the process of exhuming remains of the unidentified sailors of the USS Oklahoma. Using DNA analysis they were able to identify the remains and the family. An incredible and honorable sendoff today for Kane. ... See MoreSee Less
