IMPORTANT ELECTION INFORMATION
In 2018, 68% of Tarrant County voters chose the straight-ticket option on their ballot (selecting one box to choose all of that party’s candidates at once.) Starting in this election, this is NO LONGER an option! You will have to select each Republican candidate one by one.
Early voting starts Tuesday, October 13th. You can early vote at any of several locations in Tarrant County, the locations in our district are: The REC of Grapevine, Colleyville Public Library, Southlake Town Hall, Keller Town Hall and the Villages of Woodland Springs Amenity Building.
In Texas, partisan candidate order is determined by the previous gubernatorial outcome: so Republican Party candidates will be first, Democratic Party second, Libertarian Party third, etc.
Due to the COVID pandemic, many local races were delayed from May to this November – you may see these on your ballot. To get a copy of your specific sample ballot go to this website: https://gisit.tarrantcounty.com/TCVL/

- This system uses a touch screen, that clunky dial is gone.
- No more one punch straight-party option so you’ll have to select each race one at a time and hit next.
- After you are done it prints a paper ballot. This is NOT a voting receipt, review your choices and insert into the scanner in the same room you are voting in. We have had issues where some voters left before they had inserted the paper ballot into the scanner. If you leave the room without using the scanner your vote WILL NOT count – you will not be allowed to return if you forgot.
